Al Marsad Al Makani prepared the exploitation license requirements for sand and gravel resources for Al Shamel General Contracting Company in the Riyadh Region, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. The project focused on developing a comprehensive technical file to support the exploitation license application process through geological, hydrological, and environmental assessment of the site, estimation of sand and gravel reserves in accordance with approved standards, and preparation of a mining and material exploitation plan outlining the proposed extraction methods and annual production capacity.

The scope of work included preparing a detailed geological study of the area, conducting surveying works and field exploration, carrying out laboratory analyses, estimating reserves, and developing site layouts and engineering drawings related to utilities, roads, basins, and storage areas. The study also covered environmental and economic aspects, rehabilitation and closure planning, occupational health and safety requirements, and preparation of the necessary regulatory and ownership documents. These deliverables helped provide a well-organized and comprehensive submission to the relevant authorities and enhanced the project’s readiness for safe and compliant exploitation.
