Integrated engineering designs for electrical power and outdoor lighting networks in accordance with approved requirements and standards.

Design of Lighting and Electrical Networks for Urban Developments

The project includes the preparation of integrated engineering designs for electrical power and lighting networks serving residential, commercial, and industrial developments, in accordance with Saudi Electricity Company requirements and approved engineering standards. The designs support operational efficiency, safety, and the long-term sustainability of electrical infrastructure within urban developments.

The scope covers electrical demand studies, load calculations, and the design of medium- and low-voltage networks, substations and distribution transformers, and outdoor lighting systems. It also includes voltage-drop calculations, cable routing, distribution and protection panels, preparation of detailed construction drawings, bills of quantities, and the technical specifications required for implementation and approval.

  • Project TypeDesign of Electrical Power and Lighting Networks for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Urban Developments
  • Scope of WorkMedium- and Low-Voltage Networks – Distribution Substations and Transformers – Outdoor Lighting – Load Calculations – Voltage Drop – Cable Routes – Distribution and Protection Panels – Construction Drawings – Bills of Quantities
  • Project LocationsThe portfolio presents a sample street-lighting design for an urban development in Makkah, along with examples of electrical network plans for various urban developments.
  • Project DescriptionA specialized project for the planning and design of electrical power and lighting networks for urban developments. The work begins with the collection and analysis of master plan data, land uses, road networks, electrical load locations, and data provided by the Saudi Electricity Company. The scope then includes electrical load calculations and the design of medium- and low-voltage networks, distribution substations and transformers, lighting networks, cable routes, manholes, and distribution and protection panels. The project concludes with the preparation of detailed construction drawings, electrical calculations, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and digital design files required for implementation and approval.
