Al Marsad Al Makani prepared the requirements for an exploration license for a building materials quarry project for sand and gravel in Jeddah on behalf of National Mining Company, as part of the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources through the Ta’adeen Platform. The scope focused on preparing a comprehensive technical and regulatory file to support completion of the exploration license application process, including preparation of the preliminary site study, definition of the proposed license area boundaries, development of the technical justification, and preparation of the preliminary geological study to clarify the site characteristics and its mining potential.

The service also included preparation of the exploration work program, sampling plan and testing program, Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), as well as preparation of technical competency and financial capability files. In addition, the scope covered compiling the license application documents, submitting the application, and following up on the licensing procedures until issuance of the exploration license. The work was supported by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in geology and exploration, surveying and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), environment and safety, laboratory services and quality control, finance and economics, and licensing and follow-up, ensuring well-organized deliverables that comply with approved requirements.
